Clyde is central to the whole of Central Otago and so makes access to all the wonderful activities in the area easy. Everything from fishing, hiking, biking, wine tasting, delicious eating, getting married, family reunions and attending some of the many organised events. The Rail Trail is a major attraction in the Central Otago Region and it is wonderful for cycling or hiking alike and with the addition of the Roxburgh Gorge and Clutha Gold trails, Clyde is the perfect place to begin or end your adventure. There are several companies offering bike hireage if you want to organise your own trip or a complete package including accommodation, bikes and transport if that is a better option for you.
